Grades and GPA
Enter scores, see where a course is heading, and plan what the rest of a course or term needs.
A course's grades
The Grades tab of a course lists its assessments. Type a score straight into the Score
column: 82 or 82% is a percentage, 18/20 is points. Weights are typed the same way.
Every assessment with a due date has a to-do that follows it: its title, due date and course come from the assessment, and it shows in the calendar and on the To-dos page. Entering a score, or dropping the assessment, finishes the to-do; deleting the assessment deletes it. The To-do column checks it off right from the table, and the to-do's details show the assessment's weight and score with a link back to its row.
Above the table, show All, Graded or Not graded assessments, or search them by name. Add creates an assessment, or imports them from a syllabus or your LMS. The ⋯ menu groups the table by category and holds the official grade.
On the right:
- Grade breakdown: the current grade and GPA, and each category's weight and average.
- Forecast: the predicted final grade, with a bar for each assessment still to come. Each one is predicted from its category's average so far; a category with no scores yet uses the course's average. The dashed line is the average the target needs.
- Target GPA: pick the grade you are aiming for from your program's scale. Below it is the average the remaining assessments need to reach it.
Plan mode
Plan lets you try out scores without saving them. Empty assessments show their forecast in grey; type a score to replace it. The forecast card turns into the Planned grade. Fill in to reach target fills in scores that just reach your target. Clear assumptions removes what you typed, and Exit plan mode goes back to your real grades. Assumptions are kept for next time.
A term's grades
The term's Grades page lists its courses with their percentage and GPA. Filter In progress or Finished courses, or search them. The Unfinished courses card shows each unfinished course's average so far. Enter a Target term GPA to see the average the unfinished courses need. Plan works the same way as for a course: type the final percentage you expect in each unfinished course.
Whether unfinished courses count in the term GPA at their current average is a program setting: program settings → Grades → Term grades → Count unfinished courses.
